Fall In Love… With Farmgirl Flowers!

What comes to mind when you think of the phrase “treat yourself”? Often, what pops in my head are fresh blooms. I love having healthy, happy looking flowers in my house at all times [if possible] and I’ve really missed being able to go to farmer’s markets & shops to get them since COVID ruined everything. Things really haven’t been the same, and I’ve been working so hard around the farm lately (we all have); I just felt like I needed a little pick-me-up. Enter, Farmgirl Flowers.

I have turned to this little San Fran based business time and again to send bouquets to friends and family in the spirit of sympathy, congratulations, and friendship. Those who have received my floral gifts ranted and raved about how much they loved them. But, oddly, I had never placed an order for myself.

During the early stages of the pandemic my inbox was often filled with emails from various companies giving updates on their status. Farmgirl Flowers being among them. I could just tell from Christina‘s emails that her heart and dedication to her team and this small business was off the charts, and it made me want to show my support even more. I knew, I wanted to make a purchase as soon as I was able.

So, (picking back up where I started) with all of the labor I’ve been putting in with the family over the last couple of months and my parent’s impending visit, I wanted to do something nice for myself. Self-care, am I right? That being said, I browsed FF site, and chose their Minimalist arrangement. But, let me be clear- I could’ve chosen them all! I had such a hard time deciding on what to get. However, I settled on the neutral bouquet, knowing it would look good in whatever room I chose to put it in. And, one morning [of my choosing], a pretty box showed up at my door.

I mean… how gorgeous are these flowers?!

Now, let me tell you why Farmgirl is freakin’ amazing, beside just their blossoms. Their goal is to minimize the amount of waste they produce to make the smallest impact on the environment as possible. They properly and ethically source their flowers so that they can offer the highest quality arrangements. Their prices (especially considering the value of what you’re receiving) are reasonable, while making sure they are still able to support flower farmers and small businesses. Plus, being a small business themselves, they work to create local jobs and provide benefits to their employees.

The best news? They ship all over the USA and make sure you get the freshest, flourishing arrangement possible. Not to mention, YOU choose the date of delivery! They provide care tips, answers questions, and even tell you how to get the perfect Instagram photo of your bouquet. I’ve also had personal experience with FF customer service, which I found to be excellent; smooth and very responsive.

I adore arranging flowers, and do it often. And, it’s no surprise that, when I followed the instructions that came with my package, I had an even more stunning array than when it arrived! Why had I waited so long to get these for myself!?!

My arrangement stayed vivacious looking for about a week and the greens, of course, went a little longer. I think I could’ve been a bit more diligent in changing the water, which might’ve made their life extended even a bit more. I appreciated, too, that some of the flowers were closed when they arrived so that, as time passed and some of the others expired, they opened up and revived the festiveness. Overall, the whole experience was lovely.

Needless to say, I am impressed with Farmgirl Flowers, now more than ever. I will definitely be ordering more from them in the future. If you are, in fact, seeking to treat yourself, look no further. Or, perhaps instead, you want to reward or comfort someone you know. Farmgirl Flowers has your back!

What are some of your favorite ways to implement self care? I’d love to know! Leave me a comment and let me know some of your suggestions so I can try them out too!
